Soooo, we did end up going to Toronto obviously! I was still sick with the flu and all, but mehh. The head and stomach pains were gone, so it wasn't too bad. I only had the coughs and a runny nose. Was I gonna let that get in my way??? NO WAY!

Wednesday July 16th, 2008

At about 11am I had everything packed up and put into the car. My room mate and I get in his car and drive to my mom's place to pick up my brother and sister. They load their stuff into the car and they get in. We are off to the bus station! We grab some stuff we needed in the mall next door, after getting our tickets. Then we left the mall and got our bags out and got them ready to be put on the bus. My room mate leaves, and the 3 of us board the bus. My sister and brother sit together, while I sat all by my lonesome. More room for me anyways! HA! 

So the bus drives onwards down the highway. We are on our way to Barrie. On our way there, the bus made about 5 stops to the towns we were driving through. It stopped at the bus stations in the towns so of course some of them were way into the town, it took forever. While we were at Bracebridge or Gravenhurst....I forget now....a whole bunch of people came on board. So the bus started empty, and went really full later on during our ride. We made one stop somewhere for a 15 minute break. We all got out to stretch our legs and got something to eat and drink, we were so hungry! Later more people got on, so I had to have someone sitting next to me, that was fun.....ha ha. No not really. This girl was really nice and all but, she I dunno. She tried to have a little conversation with me. All I wanted to do was just be quiet and sleep or something. Then she decided to sleep. I was on the window side, so she had nowhere to rest her head. She was snoring and moving her head side to side and forward. It was funny, but got really annoying after a while. She did this for like and hour! My sister and brother were looking over at me and laughed. Cuz the girl looked funny and I had to deal with her. It was funny later when she woke up, she was like, wha??? 

Anyways, we arrived in Barrie. We got our bags and walked around a bit to look for our cousin. She lives nearby and she drove out there to meet us and pick us up. We found her running towards us, right before we were gonna call her. She brought us to her car, and then we were on our way to Holland Landing. It's where she lives. We got there and my uncle was there and other cousins. We unpacked a little bit, changed into our swimsuits and then got back into the car. We were going to the beach! It was pretty far away, about half hour away. Far enough.... I forget the name of the lake, but it was nice. The lake itself was really crappy, like the lake we have here, Lake Nipissing. UGH!  So warm after 4 minutes of being in the water! It was nice though, the whole beach, the scenery, the sun and the sky.....the breeze coming off the lake, so nice.....the lake sucked though. 

We left there, went back to the house to get changed. We we out into town and went shopping a bit. We went to Dairy Queen, then LCBO, then to Chapters. We went to pick up my aunt at her work at about 9. Then we all went back to the house. We decided to order pizza, and pop. We were drinking as well. We played Kings which is a fun drinking game. We decided to drink Malibu and pepsi.....bad drinking combination!!!!! I dunno, Malibu and pepsi...ugh! It was sick, I could only have half a glass. Everyone else was getting sick too, but they had more than I did. I was still not feeling too good at the time either, my cold... We sat outside later to get some fresh air. Then we got tired. I had a shower later, then we all went to bed. My sister slept with my cousin, my brother slept on the floor, and I slept on the chair. Oh well ha ha

We all got up in the morning at around 9am or so. Everyone had a shower. I already had mine, ha ha ha losers! The four of us made a plan of what we were going to do in Toronto and how we were gonna get there and whatnot. So we decided to take the bus into Toronto because we didn't have a car. My aunt needed the car cuz she had to go to work. We didn't really need one in TO anyways. Just to get there, but oh well. We got ready, and then left to go wait at the bus stop that was nearby. It was about 10:15am. We waited and waited. Ugh it was so hot and muggy out already! We decided to get a ride to the VIVA bus terminal or whatever. My other cousin had to go to work and my uncle was driving her to work. The terminal wasn't too far away, so we asked him if he'd give us a lift. We did just that. 

When we got there, we got our tickets and then got on the bus. Now this was something that I've never seen before or been on. It was like two buses put together, the attachment part was like this springy thingy. HA HA I dunno what you call it. Oh well. It was a VIVA bus anyhoo. The 4 of us sat together in this little 4 seat area. There were people on there, really weird people. This one lady was with her 2 kids, and she must've thought the girls were devils, or trouble makers. Because everytime they'd do something, she'd be like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" and she was like "DON'T SPILL THAT POP!" The lid was perfectly on the bottle the little girl was holding, she was tipping it back and forth. The lady was so angry with the kids, it was kinda mean. She was like "YOU ARE GONNA SPILL THAT POP ALL OVER THOSE PEOPLE THERE!" the people were us....."THEY WILL GET ALL STICKY AND WET AND THEN THEY'LL BE MAD AT ME, NOT YOU! DO YOU HEAR ME? STOP IT I SAID!" She was like pulling their arms and stuff. Ugh! I wanted to rip her head off! 

Anyways, after like 45 minutes on the bus, we arrive at the Science  Center. We walk towards the place, and we see all these kids running around. Greaaatt. ha ha. We went up to the counter and paid for the ticket to get in. We also paid for the Toronto city pass. It gets us into the CN Tower and the Toronto Zoo and all that. So we paid for that, then tried to get into the show we wanted to see at the Imax, but they were all sold out. Oh well. We'd try it tomorrow. We went into the Science Center and looked all over inside there. Soooo many little kids man, it was crazy! We went down like 4 sets of stairs....esculators! I swear that's all I did in Toronto! ESCULATORS!!! ha ha ha They had neat things in there, ordinary stuff you'd expect to see at Science Centers. It was funny, but also scary at one time while we were there. We made a stop in the bathrooms, and then left. Well, about 10 minutes later, my cousin realizes she doesn't have her purse with her. We figured it be in the bathroom, so we tried to find out where it was. The place was a maze!!!! We turn around and started heading back, but then my sister yells out to my cousin and they both run the other way, and my brother and I were like, WHAT? I thought she said someone stole it, and they were running after him! HA HA, but no, it's just that my sister actually said that the bathroom was right over there. HA HA that was funny. We did find her purse by the way. It was still in the stall, thankgod! We were happy nobody took it. We ate pizza in the food court later and then we left.

We got on a real bus this time, and took it....somewhere, I forget. But we got off on a street and went down to the subway. We got out our change, got our token and got in. We were riding on the subway! It was fun. Our first time.....my siblings and me. Our cousin was so helpful, cuz she knew a whole lot about all this stuff. She was like our guide.  So we got off the subway and went up onto the streets. We walked a bit, then went to a bus stop and waited. We got on the bus, and it took us somewhere, to a street. I forget where. But we got off and went down into the subway again. Got our token and got on. We rode it all the way down to Queens Street. That I remember. We got out and went up. This is where we did a whole lot of walking!!!!

We walked all the way down Queens Street and took pictures. We saw alot of people, and stuff. Shops and cars and pigeons!!! ha ha I was all excited to walk right by the Much Music place. That was cool. We were getting hot and tired, so we stopped at Starbucks and sat down. It was nice there. We were sitting down for over half an hour. We continued walking around the block, and stuff. We went all the way to this St. Lawrence Farmers Market place. It was nice there, we kinda walked right through it and went outside on the other side of the building. We sat down and waited for like 45 minutes or so. We were waiting for our cousins boyfriend. He was gonna meet us there, and we were gonna go get something to eat, then go on the the CN Tower, then he'd drive us home. FREE RIDE! So we waited and waited. A lot of pigeons and other birds were flying around, they entertained us.

Then we saw him walk right up to us. We got up and went around a block to a restaurant called The Old Spaghetti Factory. I think I've been there before, when I was on my grade 8 trip....We all sat down at our table, and ordered our drinks and food. I had a Canadian Beer and glass of water,  and to eat I had Chicken Parmesan with Spaghetti and sauce. It was delicious. The waiter was so crappy!!! He forgot my beer at the beginning, and forgot our cheese for our garlic bread, and took forever to bring second beers to my cousin and her boyfriend. He was so nice and all, but.....man..... 

We left, then walked all the way to the CN Tower. It was about 7:30 or 8pm at this time now. The walk took about 20 minutes. I've been on the CN Tower before in grade 8. My siblings haven't been on it, so I was excited about that. We got there, and showed them our city passes. We had to do this weapon check thing before we go in. So we stood in line, and waited for everyone to go through with the procedure. It's just this doorway where you stand in there for 10 seconds while air poofs out of these holes on both sides of the walls and blows on you. How it's checking for weapons I dunno. But it was pretty funny, with the air poofing thing. So the 5 of us go through and then get into the elevator. This lady who works there, she was telling us some information about the CN Tower while we were going up, like how fast we were going , and how high and stuff. It was funny cuz my brother and sister were both like, ahhhhhh. They were looking out the window and they saw we were going pretty fast and high. My brother had to turn away from the window and look the other way. ha ha He asked the lady if anyone threw up on the elevator before and she was like, "wha?" ha ha it was funny. We got up there, and looked all around at the view of Toronto. It was nice. There was a glass floor and people were walking on it. I was like, oh dear! ha ha I never went on it, but they did. We made the extra 9 dollars to go up to the very top of the tower. It was a long wait, but worth it...I guess. It was about 33 stories more. 

We left afterwards, it was dark out by the time we got out of there. We walked back to the St. Lawrence market area. My cousin's boyfriend's car was in that area, in the parking garage place. We all got home a while later since we were in the middle of downtown Toronto.......so far from the house! UGH! We all went to sleep sometime after we got there. We were so tired from all that walking and whatnot. Whew!

Friday July 18th, 2008

Soooo, we all slept in a bit more this morning. We decided that we were gonna try for the Imax again this time, so we ended up calling in reservations. We got in! Then we planned on going to the zoo afterwards! YAY! So we waited til my aunt had to go to work which was around 12:30pm. That way we can take the car and have it for the day. So we drove to her work, then we drove back to the Science Center where the Imax was. 

We got our tickets and waited for about 20 minutes in line. It was a huge line up, we kinda butted in line! 
hee hee We wanted to sooo badly get to sit next to each other since there was a chance that we wouldn't cuz of all the people and kids. But it all worked out okay, which was good. The screen was huge! It took the whole room, the whole ceiling and walls, it was massive! MASSIVE! We were going to watch this documentary on fish and the sea called "Deep Sea". They had narrating voices on the video.....Johnny Depp, and Kate Winslet. 
I thought that the video was pretty cool. After the movie, we left and started heading  for the Toronto Zoo!!!!!!

I was excited about this! We all were. Our cousin's boyfriend met us there at the entrance. We showed them our city passes and got in. Now I cannot go through all this step by step, since i cannot really remember what happened here. But I'll try....

We walked down towrds this small building that was the "butterfly room". It was cute, I thought. Because there were butterflies flying everywhere and little birds and there were plants and trees, and water and stuff. So cute. ha ha We moved onto the other areas like the rainforest area, bird areas, monkeys, fish. Sooo many animals were there, I cannot possibly list them all. But we saw a Rhino....which was like the first main animal we saw. We saw ducks, hogs, crocidles, a seal, elephants, a giraffe, leopard, panther, ostrich, tigers, lions, flamingos, gorillas, zebras....ect... There were so many Canadian geese wandering around the zoo! Quite a bit. 

It was a good day for the zoo, too! Not too hot and not too cool. Well, I do have to say it was actually a hot day, but at least the sun wasn't out, that made it cooler. But they had some areas in the zoo where they had to have certain things and animals in cages, or small buildings to keep the temperature right for them. Most of them were muggy and hot! It was nasty in those places!!!!! Especially the rainforest ones. They had quite a few peacocks and other birds wandering around on the paths. It was funny cuz I was afraid one of them would attack me when I wanted to walk by. ha ha

Well, after about 3 or 4 hours of walking around the zoo, we called it quits. We still hadn't even looked at everything! Sheesh! But it was getting late and we were tired, so we decided to leave. We went in the zoo shop for a look around and we ended up buying some things. We left to a mall, and walked around for half an hour. Then we went to pick up my aunt from her work. We drove to the house and then me and my siblings started putting all of our things into the back of my aunt's car. We were going to their cottage, which is near Orillia or somewhere.....ha ha I dunno where it is. Our cousin was staying, so it was just me, my brother, sister and aunt. My mom and other aunt drove up to the cottage earlier that afternoon, from North Bay. We were all gonna meet up there. We got there at about 10:30 or 11pm. We sat around outside by the lake, by the fire drinking wine. It was nice. We all stayed up a bit late. 

Saturday July 19th, 2008

The next morning we all got up and had breakfast outside. It was nice out. My sister, brother and I went out on the raft on the lake to fish, while my aunts and mom went into town to some markets. It was getting hot out, so my 2 siblings jumped into the lake a few times. I didn't go in. Then we all went to play a game of scrabble, while we waited for them to get back. After they got back, we started drinking. We all had margaritas, pina coladas, beer and wine. It was fun! We sat in the lake under the sun all day long. Some of us got nasty burns from it. OUCH! Later we were all so exhausted and tired and drunk. We all took naps. We were all tired the rest of the day and night. We all went to bed early that night. Some of us didn't get much sleep because of the nasty sunburns!!! 

Sunday July 20th, 2008

We all woke up really early, it was raining outside. We were all packing up and getting ready to leave. My aunt was gonna stay for a while......but me, my mom, brother and sister and other aunt were leaving. We got everything in the car, and said our goodbyes to her. We left, and then it really started to pour. It was about 6:30am. My mom woke me at about 6am, when I thought it was about 8am. I looked at the time in the car and was shocked! So early!!!! The car ride home was ok, but too crowded. The 3 of us in the back slept most of the way., while my mom drove and my aunt sat up front with her. We got home in North Bay at about 9:30am. 

And........that's that! What a fun trip! Too bad I was coughing and hacking 60 percent of the time!

    

This weekend I had off.....and I had nothing planned. So Saturday morning I wake up and I'm home alone. (Room mate was working out of town) I am sitting there trying to figure out what to do on a fine Saturday, ya...IN THE RAIN! So, I turn on my computer, checked out my messages and whatnot. Checked out facebook....and then I decided to pick up the phone and call my brother. He was bored as well. I had an idea. So I called my sister and her boyfriend picks up. He tells me that she is out and will get her to call back later. I figured my brother and I could go over there to hang out. So, I am waiting for my sister to get home so she can call me. Half hour goes by and I see that she had just written on my wall, on facebook. I'm like.....why didn't you call? Good thing I was by the computer and I had it on! Ha ha. So I called her and that was that. My brother and I were on our way over. Well.....my brother had to get ready, he told me he'll leave in an hour. I told him to call me before her leaves. An hour and a half goes by, I call my brother and he already had left. I was like...WTF? So I walked over there to my sisters place, and....ya. We played video games, like Oddworld Abe's Oddessy for the PS2. And then Mario Kart for the Game Cube! Weeee! My brother ansd I ordered pizza from Pizza Pizza. Yum yum! We watched tv while we ate. We watched some gymnastics! Later we got up to go downstairs. My sister's bestfriend who lives right below her, we all went down there to play Mario Kart on the Wii! That was fun! Then we went back upstairs on the computer to look at stuff on Youtube.com. We looked at some gymnastic wipeouts. That was funny. And then we looked at some old Disney and Warnerbrothers cartoons. So cool! Brings back memories! Then my brother and I left for home. My sister tells me that Dig Newton was playing tonight at a bar, Leo's. I was like, sweet! So I went to the bar afterwards, at around 11pm. Me, my sister and her friend from school went out. We had fun. We danced a little bit. We ordered nachos....mmmm. Then one of the band members came up to us and bought all of us a Jack Daniels shot. It was my first JD shot. It's was pretty good. Later at about 1:40am I walked home, it was nice out. I wasn't too drunk, I was feeling kinda tired. My room mate was home when I arrived. I went to bed shortly after I got home, and he stayed up.

Then at about 11am, I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. It was my mom. She was going out shopping and wanted to know if I wanted to go. I was like, ya sure. I had to have a shower and everything first. So I got ready, then she came to get me. My brother came along too. We went out to Walmart. I was buying a few things, then when I went to grab my wallet out of my bag..........I realized it wasn't there. I was like....ummm. Hmmmmm. I figured it'd probably be at my place, I left it on my dresser. So I made my mom pay for my things for now. I'd pay her back of course. I felt stupid, I never lose my wallet!!! Well...I did once, and this was the second time. lol But anyways, we went to McDonalds for a McFlurry, and made my mom pay for that as well. Then I had to stop by at work to check my schedule, and to get a coffee for my room mate, and one for myself. Again....mom handed over 3 dollars to me. (sorry mom) So, then I got home and looked everywhere for my wallet. I tired to hurry because I had to go back outside and give my mom the money I owed her. She was waiting for me. So....ofcourse I couldn't find it anywhere! I flipped. I walked right back outside to tell her I don't have it. The only other place I could think of is the bar lastnight, I may have left it there. So, I went back in my apartment and told my room mate why I'm so angry. he then tells me that the bar called and told him about my wallet!!!! YAY! I was so happy! They kept it safe for me, and everything! Thank God no one took it. I called my mom on her cell phone and my brother tells me that they had already gone up to the bar to check for me, and they got it. I was like, oh good! They were on their way to bring it home to me. Such good luck! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Anyways, later I had a nap, and ate and whatever. My room mate and I left to go out to karaoke, before he would have to leave for work. (He does nightshifts) So, we played some pool and sang some of our regular songs we normally do. It's been a while for me since I've gone to karaoke. I did pretty good. I did Shania Twain's "You've Got A Way", and also Sarah McLachlan's "Angel". Not too bad! :) I left some time before he left for work, I walked home. And...now I'm here typing in this blog. Gonna find something else to do now, see ya. :D 

Well, here's a blog about what I enjoy doing alot. Watching good movies at the theatres!!!! I love doing it. Dude, it's your our chance to be able to see the best movie on a huge big screen tv, and ultra surround sound! It won't come back, so experience it! Like, sure some people have their big tvs and surround sound at home, but seriously, it's not like what they have in the theatres! Really. It's just not the same! Except for the uncomfortable chairs and annoying people who don't know how to sit down, stop kicking the chairs with their feet, or even shut up during a movie!!!! God I hate that!

Anyways, I am so glad to experience some movies that I love, in the theatres. Such as:

Those were the "big" movies I enjoyed. Well, I will go now. See ya.

So, today I went out to the mall with my brother. On our way over, we walked through downtown. We stopped and looked at the city's plan for the waterfront in the future. Hmmmm, a pool? Interesting. Ohhhhh, another few carousels? You're kidding, right? Wow. 

Anyways, we walked to the mall and bought some of this, a few of these, and those. Then we left. Good timing, because it just finished raining, It was a beautiful sunny day.  But it was only cloudy and raining while we were in the mall. SCORE! That's great.

To those who haven't heard, I lost my sandals in my adventure I had while walking home from the bar a couple weeks ago. I ended up buying the same exact pair at the mall. I am happy to have them back, cuz they are nice and comfortable. SWEET!

Well, I don't really have much else to write about the rest of my day, today. 

Hmmmm, what to write about. Sheesh, why are you making me do this? Ha ha! I suck at blog making!

Well, I will go now.....for now.........NOW!
